A consistent theme has emerged from the witnesses called through the first two days of a week-long inquest into the August 2020 death of a Sarnia Jail inmate.

Those were words used Monday by a corrections officer and registered nurse who had interactions with Brent Moore five years ago following his arrest on drug trafficking charges and transfer to the Christina Street North facility. They were used again Tuesday as Kayla Leneve, the jail’s mental health nurse at the time, testified.
Leneve talked to Moore multiple times during the eight days he spent in custody there and completed a jail screening assessment tool (JSAT) and clinical opiate withdrawal scale (COWS) forms about him. But after assessing him, she said she had no suicide-related co
