WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Insight Hospital in Trumbull County is working toward reopening six months after it closed. The facility was recently inspected by the Ohio Department of Health.

The barriers at Insight Hospital's entrances from East Market Street have been removed, a sign of what could be activity at the building that has been shuttered since March. County Commissioner Rick Hernandez says time is of the essence.

"My understanding is that if they do not reopen by the end of the month, that they do stand a chance or that they can, they will lose their licensing to operate," Hernandez said.

Last week, Insight said it planned to reopen Trumbull Hospital soon, initially as a 24/7 emergency department with supporting services.
