A critically acclaimed new movie shot in Syracuse will be shown on the big screen this weekend.

“ Plainclothes ,” written and directed by Jamesville-DeWitt High School graduate Carmen Emmi, will premiere locally Friday, Sept. 26, at the Manlius Cinema . The movie will be shown at 7:30 p.m. and include a special Q&A with Emmi; the film will continue playing at the Manlius movie theater Friday through Thursday, Oct. 2.

“Plainclothes” will also be shown in limited screenings at Destiny USA’s Regal Cinemas starting Friday, Sept. 26, through Monday, Oct. 6. Tickets are available at regmovies.com .
