HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- Pennsylvania Capitol Police have a new detail: the site of a former homeless encampment.
On Tuesday, 13 Capitol Police officers were assigned to support enforcement activities after a long-standing homeless encampment was cleared under the I-83 South Bridge in Harrisburg, said L. Paul Vezzetti, a spokesperson from the PA Department of General Services. PennDOT owns the land and started an expansion project there this week.
