DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A man who was considered to be a suspect in the cold case homicide of a Dauphin County woman who disappeared more than 30 years ago has died in prison.
Mark Eugene Warfel, 92, was being held on unrelated charges and was never charged in 17-year-old Tracy Kroh's 1989 disappearance.
Kroh was last spotted in the area of Alex Acres Trailer Park off Route 147 in Halifax while reportedly going to visit her sister and brother-in-law. Her vehicle, a 1972 Mercury Comet, was found the next day in the Millersburg Square.
Her wallet, including her driver’s license, was found in December 1993 in an area along a creek in Washington Township.
