STROMBURG, Neb. — The Cross County Schools Board of Education has hired McPherson & Jacobson LLC to help find candidates for the district’s next superintendent.

At a board meeting on Sept. 17, members outlined the qualities they want in the new leader. They are seeking someone who is highly motivated, transparent and demonstrates strong character and integrity. The board also wants an instructional leader who can unify the district’s culture, support quality staff and advocate for effective education for all students.

Other priorities include strong financial skills, community involvement and the ability to communicate well with students, staff and residents.
