ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A woman has sued medical providers at the Bartow and Cherokee county jails over her son’s death.

The lawsuit claims Bradley Fullerton died at the Bartow County Jail on Oct. 17, 2023, after having seizure activity for 45 minutes. According to the lawsuit, Fullerton was first booked into the Cherokee County Jail, then moved to the Bartow County Jail.

He was prescribed multiple anti-seizure medications, according to the lawsuit. The Cherokee County Jail allegedly had both Fullerton’s prescriptions and his medication, but did not forward them on to the Bartow County Jail when he was transferred.

The Bartow County Jail’s pharmacy then did not give Fullerton the medications “on the pretext of needing to verify his prescriptions,” the lawsuit says.
