Jessica Chastain ‘s upcoming series The Savant is no longer premiering this week.

Just days before it was set to debut on Apple TV+ , it was revealed that the thriller has been delayed amid the current political climate.

“After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone The Savant ,” the streamer shared in a statement, via Variety . “We appreciate your understanding and look forward to releasing the series at a future date.”

The Savant “follows an undercover investigator known as ‘The Savant’ ( Chastain ) as she infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to stop domestic extremists before they act.”
