CLEVELAND, Ohio – The shootout in the Flats earlier this month involved strangers spraying bullets at each other in front of hundreds of people, two of whom were struck in the back, a police report shows.
This week, Cleveland police released the incident report from the attack that injured six people and prompted city officials to board up a bar. The shooting happened just hours after the Browns home opener game.
The report depicts a chaotic scene involving gunmen, one of whom used a rifle in the attack.
At 6:15 p.m. Sept. 7, police said a fight broke out on Front Street near West 10th Street before the shooting. Afterward, four people fired as many as 40 shots.
Six people between the ages of 16 and 45 were wounded, police said.
