LYNDHURST, Ohio --

Fraud: Learidge Road

At 11:50 a.m. Sept. 18, a Lyndhurst woman, 60, reported that a check she had mailed at the Richmond Heights post office on Richmond Road had been stolen and altered.

The check had originally been written in the amount of $484, but had been altered and cashed for $1,500. Police are investigating.

Theft: Cedar Road

At 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15, a Pepper Pike woman, 44, went to the Lyndhurst police station to report the theft of her $520 pair of Prada sunglasses.

The sunglasses were stolen as the woman ate at The Cheesecake Factory, 24265 Cedar Road at Legacy Village.

Police are investigating.
