LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Tina Carnes and her family not only lost their home of 24 years but three of their five furbabies.
She said they were able to find four of their pets in the aftermath of the May 16 tornadoes.
“All them was buried under rubble for about 16 hours. But we did save all of them, but the only one we couldn’t get was Sadie,” Carnes said.
Four months to the day, the family was able to locate Sadie thanks to surveillance video from a local business.
“So we go running out there two o’clock in the morning and of course, we were trying to find her; it scared her off into the woods,” Carnes said.
