VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY) -- A man in Ville Platte has been arrested for possessing over a hundred items of child sexual abuse materials, following a multi-agency investigation.

The suspect is currently held in the Evangeline Parish Jail with a bond set at $350,000. The arrest was made after a search warrant was executed in the 300 block of Tina Drive, where the materials were discovered.

Sheriff Charles Guillory of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office explained that the investigation involved cooperation with the Attorney General's Office, Lafayette Sheriff's Office, and state police.

"The attorney general, they have more staff that surf the net and investigate any crime that occurs on the computer in this parish," Guillory said.
