Victims must be part of process
It is a central principle of any fair justice system that the process must be open to public scrutiny.
The old saying that “justice must be done and must be SEEN to be done” sums it up quite nicely.
Another key factor must be that the victim in any case must be put first and their rights must come before everything.
But here in Scotland these basic tenets of justice appear to have been forgotten.
