CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A wrong-way crash on I-464 in Chesapeake claimed the lives of three people, including an EMT and paramedic in their ambulance based out of North Carolina.

The 22-year-old driver of the ambulance, Skye Oraczewski, is being remembered as someone dedicated to helping others.

Oraczewski's mother, Jennifer, told 13News Now her daughter was the most understanding and strong-willed person she knew, always willing to help others in need.

The crash occurred at 2:33 a.m. on Sunday morning when a car driving the wrong way struck the ambulance. Oraczewski and Stephen Anderson, known as Mike to friends, both later died at the hospital.
