A five-year-old girl was allegedly stabbed in the head with a pencil by a fellow student at a school in northern NSW .
The attack allegedly occurred at St Philomena’s School in Moree on September 17.
NSW Ambulance told 7NEWS.com.au it attended the school about 3pm.
The child was taken to hospital “covered in blood”, her mother Eliza wrote on social media.
“Physically she is fine but to say she is traumatised is putting it lightly,” she said.
The mother also claimed it wasn’t the first time the offending child had been violent towards her daughter or other students.
She vented her frustrations at the fact she was informed the student was allowed to return to the school after the September holidays.
