A new study by Michigan State University conducted with drug treatment programs in St. Clair County highlighted gaps the county faces in treating substance use disorder.

The team of three researchers included MSU Associate Professor of Psychology Amy Drahota, Research Specialist Karren Campbell and Assistant Professor Heatherlun Uphold.

The team collected self-reported data from eight substance treatment organizations serving 14 locations to find any patterns that may reveal obstacles residents struggling with drug addiction may face in receiving treatment.
