LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A small business owner in Lincoln is searching for answers after his store was vandalized for a second time.

The Topper Popper popcorn and ice cream shop is a staple in the community near 66th Street and N Cotner Boulevard.

Owner Mike Bretta is confused and frustrated after his store was targeted for the second time in about a year.

He got a disappointing wake-up call on Tuesday after one of his employees found a shattered window at the store. “Unfortunately, it looks like they broke it just to break it,” he said.

Bretta said a vandal threw a rock into the window by the shop’s front door, shattering the glass.

And this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.
