FAIRFIELD, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Robinson Primary School is turning an empty classroom into a lifeline for families.
The school celebrated the grand opening of the W.I.N.N. Academy Community Closet, a free resource center stocked with clothing, household goods, and toiletries. The name stands for “What I Need Now” and Principal Melonie C. Peppins said that’s exactly the purpose.
“The closet was designed for anything that they need,” Peppins said. ”Any resource, any clothing item, any toiletry item, any household item that they’re lacking, they can come to the W.I.N.N. Academy closet and retrieve it.”
Everything is free, thanks to donations and partnerships with United Way of Central Alabama, Grace Klein Community, and other local organizations. Families schedule appointments through the sch
