Actress Poonam Pandey has been removed from Delhi's famous Luv-Kush Ramlila. Poonam was supposed to play the role of Mandodari in Ramlila, but after opposition from saints and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the organizers have now taken this decision.

According to The Hindu's report, Luv-Kush Ramlila Committee President Arjun Kumar said that in view of the opposition from Hindu society, the role of Mandodari will be given to someone else. He informed that Poonam Pandey has been notified about this.

Arjun Kumar also said,

Poonam Pandey was very excited about her role. She had even kept a fast to receive God's blessings, but we had to remove her from Ramlila, which is unfortunate.
