Rapido, the Bengaluru-based ride-hailing company, is set to see fresh fund infusion from Dutch investment giant Prosus, which has increased the proposed commitment. According to Moneycontrol report, Prosus is expected to infuse $350 million (Rs 3000-Rs 3100 crore) in the ride-hailing service, believing the company’s growth potential.

Prosus, which has already invested in Rapido, is expected to acquire Rapido shares worth $223 million (Rs 1,968 crore) following Swiggy’s complete exit from the startup, according to MC report. Swiggy’s complete exit from Rapido is seen as a strategic move to mitigate the conflict of interest as Prosus is the major backer of Swiggy.
