CANTON – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning a daytime lane restriction on the U.S. 68/KY 80 Cumberland River/Lake Barkley Bridge at Canton in Trigg County on Thursday, Sept. 25, for additional inspection work.

This will impact westbound traffic only. Motorists should be alert for signs and message boards guiding traffic to shift into the left-hand lane. Work is expected to be completed between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Use caution where workers and equipment are along the roadway near traffic flow.

The U.S. 68/KY 80 Cumberland River Bridge, also known as the Canton Bridge, is located at U.S. 68 Trigg County mile point 8.596 and serves as the eastern entrance to the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
