A new U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility has opened at McKinney National Airport, boosting the airport’s international profile.

City officials announced the opening on Sept. 22 of the facility on Industrial Boulevard. The 3,200-square-foot center, which began operating earlier this summer, features private inspection areas for passenger processing and secure-entry infrastructure designed to reduce turnaround times for international flights.
