The District 51 Foundation announced Tuesday the awarding of more than $10,000 in Professional Learning Grants to train 126 Mesa County Valley School District 51 employees.
“The D51 Foundation knows the key role professional learning plays in growing our D51 students academically; it’s part of our mission,” said D51 Foundation Executive Director Angela Christensen in a foundation statement. “Our generous donors and supporters make this all possible.”
Grant recipients are:
Amie Schraeder, Wingate Elementary, $1,238, for Coach Facilitated Half-Day Planning (15 employees);
Britny Walker, New Emerson Elementary, $1,080 for Advantage Math Recovery Course (two employees);
Danny Medved, Orchard Mesa Middle, $520 for Solution Tree PLC Book Study (45 employees);
Emily Currey, Rim Rock Element
