A section of the A26 has shut from 6am this morning (September 24), in Tonbridge, Kent. Reports suggest a crash took place, and the route has been shut in both directions.

A closure has been put in place between the A26 Woodgate Way in both directions between Tudeley Road (Somerhill Roundabout) to the Vale Road Roundabout. The Pembury Road slip road also appears to have closed on Google Maps, and slow traffic is building due to accident .

It is not yet clear if a diversion has been put in place to redirect traffic, it is also not clear how many vehicles were involved in the incident. Drivers in the area will want to avoid this part of town.
