Parents have been forced to find new childcare arrangements in less than 12 hours after a centre in Adelaide south-west was closed for two weeks.
The closure comes as authorities investigate alleged breaches in safety and supervision after reports a child was left unattended.
Edge Early Learning childhood centre in Plympton is responsible for over 100 children, but has been visited on multiple occasions by the Education Standards Board.
This latest action was taken after claims it was improperly supervising children in its care.
According to the board, it wasn't the first breach at the Plympton facility - and not the first time an Edge Early Learning centre has failed its expectations.
Violations have been found at Munno Para West and Royal Park, and all 24 centres in South Aust
