A day after being suspended from the party, Shreemayee Mishra once again trained her guns on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). On Wednesday, she raised questions regarding the BJD’s internal electoral process, focusing on the way office bearers, including the party president, are elected.
Mishra, known for her articulate interventions and strong social media presence, highlighted concerns over the absence of a unique identification system for members, similar to the EPIC number used in public elections.
In a post on her social media pages, Mishra noted that without such a system, the party’s internal elections cannot be considered fully sanctioned, undermining democratic principles. The post came less than a day after the BJD formally suspended her from the party, citing ‘anti-party’ activities
