Saginaw, Mich. (WNEM) - In typical Michigan fall fashion, there is never a dull moment. And the first day of fall brought 3 confirmed tornadoes to northern lower Michigan.

The National Weather Service in Gaylord has confirmed a tornado that started on Torch Lake, a second in Bellaire, and a third near Lake Ann in Grand Traverse County.

Thankfully, no injuries or fatalities occurred with these storms.

A tornadic-waterspout developed on Torch Lake and dissipated shortly after moving inland. A tornadic waterspout is a waterspout that develops from a severe thunderstorm, as opposed to a fair-weather waterspout that forms from the water surface upward.
