Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has pushed back against former U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that India and China are “primary funders” of the ongoing war in Ukraine. Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Zelensky asserted that India stands “mostly” with Ukraine, while acknowledging challenges related to energy ties with Russia.

“I think India, mostly, with us. Yes, we have these questions with energy, but I think President Trump can manage it,” Zelensky said. He expressed confidence that India would eventually alter its approach to Russian energy, citing growing relations with Europe. “I think we have to do everything not to withdraw India and they will change their attitude to the Russian energy sector, I am sure,” he added.
