ROLLING FORK — The gravel backroads of Delta National Forest, located just outside Rolling Fork, have been recognized as Mississippi’s top gravel driving route, according to a new national survey of frequent roadtrippers.

The survey was conducted by Potemkin Hyudai in Florida, and polled 3,001 regular road travelers across the U.S., ranked the Delta National Forest drive at No. 38 among the top gravel drives in the country — the highest-ranked in Mississippi. Two other Mississippi routes also made the list: Homochitto National Forest roads near Meadville (No. 111) and Bienville National Forest gravel tracks near Forest (No. 128).
