DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) -- A pedestrian was hit by a car in Dothan early Wednesday morning.

Dothan police taped off a crime scene in the 1200 block of South Park Avenue and Normandale Drive.

Witnesses claim it was a woman who was struck, but police have not identified the victim at this time.

WDHN had a reporter on the scene who saw two police officers spray painting around items of clothing scattered across the road and a puddle of blood.

A sheet could be seen which was placed over what appeared to be a body near the edge of the roadway.

Dothan Police are still investigating at this time.
