MUMBAI: Paracetamol, the commonly used medication for fever and pain, may acquire a warning label in the US for a possible link between its use during pregnancy and autism in children. On Monday, US President Donald Trump said, "Don't take Tylenol." Tylenol is a brand name for acetaminophen or paracetamol in the US. "Fight like hell not to take it," he said. He announced that the US Food and Drug Administration would notify doctors about its association with a "very increased risk of autism". Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterised by poor communication skills, affecting roughly 1 in 31 children in the US.
