Ahmedabad: An Indian delegation led by Gujarat sports minister Harsh Sanghavi and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President P T Usha presented a formal proposal for hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad.

The proposal was submitted to the Commonwealth Sport Evaluation Committee in London on Tuesday, the state government said in a release on Wednesday.

\"The 2030 edition carries historic significance, marking 100 years of the Commonwealth Sport Movement. India’s bid positions Amdavad as the host city for this Centenary edition, offering a compact Games footprint centred on international-standard venues, robust transport systems, and high-quality accommodation,\" the government stated in the official release.
