Crouse Health’s Jeremy Freund on leadership: Focus on skills over titles

In his 15 years at Crouse Health, Jeremy Freund has been a nurse on the medical/surgical floor, a critical care nurse and the intensive care unit’s education coordinator for eight years, training others on new equipment and procedures as the hospital became a comprehensive stroke center.

“I fell in love with teaching,” says Freund (rhymes with joined). He might still be doing that job but “you never know where your career is going to end up.”
