A classic rock legend is continuing the latest chapter of his career with a new album.
Robert Plant will release “Saving Grace,” his first solo album in eight years, on Friday. It will be the Led Zeppelin singer’s 12th solo album overall, not counting his Grammy-winning collaborations with bluegrass artist Alison Krauss.
According to Ultimate Classic Rock , “Saving Grace” is named after Plant’s backing band of the same name, similar to his 2010 Americana album “Band of Joy” (named after his then band Band of Joy, featuring Patty Griffin and Buddy Miller). Saving Grace’s lineup includes singer Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown, who mix Americana with folk and blues music.
