PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WWLP) - An animal cruelty investigation in Plympton led to the seizure of 115 animals from a residence on Tuesday.
NBC Boston states that the animals, including cats, dogs, turkeys, quails, and goats, were removed from their home on Lake Street after a homeowner contacted police with concerns about their tenants keeping animals. The owners of the animals are disputing the allegations, claiming that the animals are state-certified.
The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) will continue to investigate the situation. Neither the conditions of the animals nor of the residence were stated in the report.
It is unclear if any criminal charges will be filed in connection with the case.
