Inspirational tale

(Re: ‘ Takin’ out the trash ,’ , Sept. 20) Devika (Desai), I have to comment on what a wonderful article you wrote. The story about Matthew was inspiring about someone who is making a difference for himself and the community. It spurred me to clean up a waste bin that someone left near a ballpark and it was upsetting my walk and probably others. As a retired teacher, I also know how hard it is for kids growing up dealing with ADHD, depression, bullying and peer pressure and how Matthew is dealing with it, especially choosing homelessness. We need more stories like this from the versus the right-wing rhetoric about how great things would be under a Conservative government who haven’t done very much in the past.
