Uptown Charlotte and South End will offer two new free events this fall.

Starting Oct. 2, Uptown Charlotte will kick off its Weekend Warmup, a free after-work music series held every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. through Oct. 30. The event will feature live music and a farmers’ market. Also happening on Thursdays in uptown is the Plaza Beer Garden.

“There’s something special about ending the workday with live music in Romare Bearden Park,” said Robert Krumbine, chief creative Officer at Charlotte Center City Partners, in a statement.
