Portland (unofficially) warmed to 88 degrees Tuesday, and Wednesday will bring more of the same.

High pressure and a thermal trough will keep temperatures warm as Portland reaches a high of about 84 degrees under sunny skies.

Gusty winds are likely in the regular areas including the Columbia River Gorge and some of the Cascade passes.

The National Weather Service says changes will move in by Thursday as the ridge begins to break down and winds shift to an onshore flow bringing in cooler air and higher humidity.

Portland will still see sunny skies Thursday, but the high temp will plummet about 10 degrees to around 74.

Friday will bring a mix of clouds and sunshine, and a high temp near 75 degrees which is about average during late September.
