Multiple people were injured and a shooter is dead after an active shooter situation unfolded at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas on Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the ICE office shortly before 7 a.m. local time on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 8101 North Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, off Interstate 35E, reported WFAA. Police were searching for a possible sniper or multiple shooters, WFFA reported, citing sources.

At least three people were injured but their conditions were unknown, Tod Lyons, the acting director of ICE, told CNN .

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed on X that there were multiple injuries and fatalities in the shooting and that the shooter had died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
