More than 500 people made their way to Rev. James Allen Park on Meetinghouse Hill on Fri., Sept.19, for the 11th annual Bowdoin-Geneva CommUnity Day, which featured free food, music, and kids’ games, with karate and Double-Dutch demonstrations on stage later in the evening.
The event was sponsored by Pleasant Street Entertainment, Bowdoin-Geneva Task Force, Bowdoin Street Health Center, BPD District C-11, Boston Uncornered, Catholic Charities Teen Center at St. Peter’s, Cape Verdean Providers, St. Peter’s Parish, Bowdoin-Geneva Main Streets, Family Nurturing Center, Cabral Leadership and Innovation Center (CLIC), and Cape Verdean Association of Boston.
