NEW DELHI: Punjab has emerged as a national leader in governance by ensuring timely and transparent service delivery to its citizens.

Between June 2024 and June 2025, as many as 48.85 lakh people benefited from government services delivered on time, setting a benchmark for citizen-centric governance.

According to official data, 99.88% of applications were processed within the stipulated time, while delays were recorded in just 0.12% of cases. This near-elimination of delays marks a drastic shift from the past, when citizens often endured months-long waits, repeated office visits, and bureaucratic hurdles.
