Ansonia police are investigating a fatal crash.

It happened around 7:45 a.m. on Pershing Drive between Clifton Avenue and Bridge Street, according to police.

Pershing Drive is closed and police are asking people to avoid the area.

The Connecticut State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit and Derby police are assisting with the investigation.

The name of the person involved is not being released at this time.
