OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Residents living near Hurlburt Field can expect to hear loud noises Thursday as the Air Force performs detonations, News 5 has learned.

Hurlburt Field will have explosive demolition operations Sept. 25, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to a news release.

Because of these detonations, nearby residents can expect to hear loud noises or feel vibrations periodically throughout the day.

According to base officials, low cloud coverage and high humidity can make those effects seem louder and closer than normal.
