NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Another family is suing The Crescent School, its landlord and the Louisiana Department of Health over the alleged discovery of elevated lead levels in its child.
Savannah and Stacy Ensell join two other suits in taking the parties to court.
The Ensells allege their child’s blood had a lead level “far exceeding those safe. As a result of this lead exposure, (the child) suffered injury and shall require medical monitoring for the foreseeable future.”
State inspectors found lead in the school and on campus this summer.
Fox 8’s Lead Astray investigation found neither the school nor the state tested the property for lead paint before it opened in 2024.
