FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - One person is dead after a crash in Floyd County.

According to Kentucky State Police troopers, the crash happened at approximately 6:42 p.m. on Tuesday near Kentucky Route 404 in the David area.

In their preliminary findings, it was determined that Stephen Stames’ vehicle went off the roadway before going over an embankment.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by officials with the Floyd Co. Sheriff’s Office.
