A 25-year-old man from Utica was charged Wednesday in connection with the stabbing death of his estranged wife in an attack that took place during a child custody exchange at a gas station, according to police and prosecutors.
Sydney Emmanuel Davis Jr. was arraigned in 41-A District Court on charges of first-degree premeditated murder, per court records. Magistrate Christopher Alayan denied bond for the suspect.
“The allegations in this case are both shocking and deeply disturbing,” Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said in a news release.
