MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police Department officers are investigating after a man allegedly broke into a woman's home and attacked her.

According to an MPD news release, officers were called to the 2500 block of Muriel Avenue around 8 p.m. on Sept. 23 for a report of a domestic incident.

Officers said when they arrived, the woman told them that a man she knew had broken into her home and attacked her.

The man left the home before officers arrived, according to the release.

Police said this is an active investigation.
