NEWARK - An expansion of the Árbol by Gomes luxury apartment building, spanning 250-252 Orange St., will provide 55 residential units and move forward the Newark-based real estate business’ mission to “foster appreciation for the diversity and life” that exists within Downtown Newark.

The Newark Central Planning Board unanimously approved the six-story, multi-family residential building, proposed by CEO of Gomes Group Pedro Gomes under “134-138 Sussex Ave LLC,” at its Monday, Sept. 22 meeting.

The six-story multifamily building with 55 residential units will be nestled at the intersection of Nesbitt Street and Orange Street, near the Broad Street Train Station and the Orange Street light rail station. It is located within the Broad Street Station Redevelopment Zone in Newark.
