Traverse City gets state premiere of 'Sunfish'

TRAVERSE CITY — The region gets credits in the new film, “Sunfish (& Other Stories on Green Lake)” — both as the film’s setting and the hometown of several key players.

The Michigan premiere is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at the State Theatre, and the film itself is when “lives intertwine around Green Lake as a girl learns to sail, a boy fights for first chair, two sisters operate a bed-and-breakfast, and a fisherman is after the catch of his life.”
