BRIGHTON BEACH — AN UNKNOWN ASSAILANT PUNCHED a 70-year-old man in the face in Brighton Beach around 3:50 p.m. Monday afternoon, and authorities are asking the public for help finding him.

Police said the victim was standing in front of 117 Brighton Beach Ave., next to the Ocean Parkway Q train station, when a “verbal dispute” occurred, before the assailant punched him in the face. The suspect then fled west on Brighton Beach Avenue.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Coney Island in stable condition.

The sought individual is described as a male, with a dark complexion, slim build and mustache. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and black sneakers.
